2005/09-Present: Having successively held the posts of Resident, Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor at Department of Neurology, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital.


Prof. Zhang Yuhu is the director of the Department of Neurology in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and the deputy director of Guangdong Neuroscience Institute. He was a visiting scholar at University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada and has attended the Neurology Subspecialty Training in Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia. He was honored the Outstanding Young Neurologist in China, the Outstanding Young Medical Talent in Guangdong Province, and Great Doctor in Yangcheng (Guangzhou). He has won the 2nd Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and Excellent Thesis Award for several times.


He is a member and the Secretary of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Group in Committee of Neurology Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. He is also the Secretary of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Group of the Chinese Medical Association. He has been invited to be consultant in the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Collaborative Innovation Team of National Clinical Medical Research Center for Senile Diseases. He is the vice chairman of the Neurology Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association. He is the corresponding editor of Chinese Journal of Neurology and contributing reviewer of several domestic and international peer reviewed journals in neurological fields.


He has been engaged in the clinical and research work in the field of Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, as well as neurogenetic diseases. He has undertaken 16 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key Program of Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, etc. He has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed international journals and Chinese core journals and edited 5 books or chapters.
