Bio:

Dr. Chen, MD, associate chief physician, has been devoted to cardiovascular surgery in both academic research and practice for more than 14 years. He graduated from Southern Medical University as bachelor in 2007 and Peking Union Medical College as master in 2012. From November 2015 to February 2016, he studied in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Linkoping University Hospital in Sweden. From March 2021 to February 2022, he served as Administrative Director of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Department, First People's Hospital of Kashgar District. He has been engaging in more than 2000 cases of cardiovascular surgery, and performs more than 100 cases per year. He is skilled in Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery of Cardiac Valvular Disease, Tumor and Atrial Septal Defect while he also does well in Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery and Aortic Surgery such as Ascending Aortic Aneurysm and Aortic Dissection. In basic cardiovascular research, he focuses on the blood anticoagulant mechanism after aortic surgery.

Dr. Chen is the special chief cardiac surgeon of the Southern Xinjiang Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment Research Alliance. He has hosted and participated in 3 provincial and municipal fund projects and published more than 10 articles in domestic and foreign top journals such as The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and The Annals of Thoracic Surgery.
