Clinical Interests:

My specialty is adult cardiovascular surgery, including the surgical treatment of coronary heart disease, valvular disease, cardiac tumors, and adult congenital heart disease. For the surgical procedures, I am good at the surgical treatment of heart transplantation, ventricular assisted circulation, coronary artery bypass grafting, ventricular wall aneurysms, ventricular reconstruction, cardiac valve replacement and shaping, and arrhythmias

Bio:

I have been further trained in clinical medicine at Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia during 2001-2003. Regarding various cardiac surgeries, I performed more than 200 cases as chief surgeon, participated in and took charge of more than 400 cases per year, for a total of more than 6,000 cases over the years. About the heart transplantation, I led the team to complete 60 cases in 2019, and have been the chief surgeon and participated in nearly 150 cases in the last four years..

From 2015-2019, I traveled to Ghana, Africa for seven times to conduct the training of cardiovascular surgery and perioperative technique. We are the first cardiovascular team which consisting of medical and surgical doctors representing China to go to Africa, to perform cardiac surgery under extracorporeal circulation and teach technical skills.

Awards and Honors:

The Provincial Science and Technology Commission’s project “Research on the clinical application of new technologies such as non-extracorporeal circulation minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting”, one of the projects I was mainly involved in, won the 2nd prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award.
