Specialties:
Dr. Yang is a thoracic surgeon with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and management of pulmonary nodules. He performs these operations through small incisions to minimize discomfort and enhance recovery using the latest technology. He is experienced in management of small lung nodules (including GGO), and surgery and multidisciplinary therapy of complex thoracic tumors including pancoast tumor, locally advanced lung cancers, re-operative surgery, complicated airway tumor.
Clinical Interests: His clinical interests include multidisciplinary management of lung cancer and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. His research is focused on better understanding of early stage lung cancer and ground-glass opacity through molecular biological and clinical features.
Bio:
Dr. Yang's research looks into surgical quality and outcomes. His research has concentrated on the multidisciplinary management of lung cancer. His scientific research includes better understanding of how tumors evolve and spread, in order to investigate new ways to treat them. He is also active in adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy by precision medicine and immunotherapy. He holds several patents in the field of minimally invasive surgery, including a novel electric hook device that has been used by many surgeons.
