Dr. Tan Ning is a cardiologist at the Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital and a professor at Southern Medical University, Medical School of South China University of Technology and Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute. He received his doctoral degree at School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University. He obtained systemic training during his fellowship in cardiovascular intervention and clinical research at the National University of Singapore Hospital and University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Professor Tan is dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, especially in the area of coronary intervention. He is also a well-known researcher in the area of cardiovascular disease. He has received numerous national and provincial grants, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan and Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Plan, all of which are the most important grants in China and Guangdong Province. He is author of more than 50 scientific articles in top-tier journals, such as JAMA Intern Med, Eur J Prev Cardiol, Circ-Cardiovasc Intervention, J Am Heart Assoc et al.
