Dr. Cao received her doctor’s degree in Ophthalmology at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University, fellowship in medical glaucoma at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center in Guangzhou with Professor Liu, Xing, research fellowship in National Eye Institute, National Institute of Health with Dr. James Fielding Hejtmancik.

Dr. Cao is an ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and retinal diseases.

She has presided over a few scientific research projects, including projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangzhou Science and Technology Program and Guangdong Medical Research Fund. She has authored more than ten papers published in major international ophthalmology journals and book chapters.
