Dr. Qin completed his PhD program of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014, followed by residency in ophthalmology at Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital and Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences.

He is working on the eyedisordersincluding cataract, glaucoma and vitreoretinal diseases, particularly on surgical intervention for Pterygium and ocular trauma. His current clinical and research interests focus on diabetic retinopathy, diabetic cataract, and the role of inflammation in ocular diseases. He is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and The Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. He has authored more than 10 SCI peer-reviewed articles in ProcNatlAcadSci USA, Am J Ophthalmol, and Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci.
