Dr. Yu Honghua is currently a professor of ophthalmology, doctoral supervisor, Leading Medical Talent and Distinguished Young Scholar in Guangdong Province, Outstanding Young Talent Trainee of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, and "Yangcheng Good Doctor". His professional membership includes member of American Society of Retina Specialist, the Young Committee of Chinese Ophthalmic Association and other academic committees. He is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of cataract, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular disease and complex ocular trauma, with the experience of performing tens of thousands of micro-incision cataract and retinal surgeries. He has published more than 40 academic papers as the first or corresponding author, and presided over more than 10 projects funded by national and provincial grants.
