CHEN Chun-bo, MD, chief physician, professor, graduate advisor, doctoral supervisor, is the Director of Maoming People's Hospital and a Professor at the Southern Medical University of China, Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute, and South China University of Technology. He serves as an editorial member of Journal of Translation Internal Medicine, Journal of Intensive Medicine, and Frontiers in Medicine.


Prof. Chen has long been engaged in clinical, scientific research and teaching of intensive care medicine with a multidisciplinary background. He has a bachelor's degree in clinical medicine, a master's degree in cardiology and a doctor's degree in nephrology. He has studied and worked in EICU, MICU, CCU, NICU and SICU and currently majored in cardiocerebrovascular critical care medicine. He has extensive clinical experience in the comprehensive treatment of critically ill patients, and has presided over several major rescue missions assigned by the government.


Prof. Chen has conducted over 20 scientific research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and multi-center RCT research, with an accumulated research funding of nearly 12 million yuan. He has published over 30 articles as the first author or corresponding author with a cumulative impact factor of more than 170 in recent five years. He has been awarded the Guangdong Doctor Prize by the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, the advanced individual of Guangdong Province in fighting against Covid-19 epidemic, the Medical Leading Talent of Guangdong Province, the Model Worker of Maoming City, and the second prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Progress Award.
