


XIONG Wei-ping, MD, chief physician, former Director of the First Department of Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cardiac Critical Care Expert Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Deputy Chairman of the Cardiac Critical Care Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association.
Dr. Xiong obtained her MD from Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University. Afterwards, she studied at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital as a visiting scholar.
Dr. Xiong has been engaged in front-line clinical work for 30 years and has extensive clinical experience in perioperative monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of various heart diseases. She has been involved in many clinical research projects including left ventricular assisted circulation and pathological oxygen supply dependence in critically ill patients. She is a co-author of the textbook "Left Ventricular Assisted Circulation".
