Speciality:

He has been occupied in orthopedic and spinal cord surgery for 29 years. He graduated from the the Second Military Medical University and Southern Medical University with Master’s degree. He has received systemic professional training in multiple European and American spinal centers. He is the professional academic foregoer of Department of Orthopedic and Spinal Surgery in Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital and a professor in Southern Medical University. He has proficiently mastered the techniques for diagnosis and treatment of various common diseases in orthopedics, especially in spinal surgery; he has solid theoretical knowledge and rigorous work style; he is meticulous in surgery and good at introducing new techniques. He is skilled at clinical diagnosis and treatment of various spinal disorders such as spinal malformation, tumor, trauma and degenerative disorder. Currently, he concentrates on the minimally invasive treatment of spinal degenerative disorders such as cervical spondylopathy and lumbar intervertebral disc diseases, the orthopedic treatment of serious spinal malformation and the comprehensive treatment of spinal tumors. He also has profound attainments in the surgical treatment of atlantoaxial malformation, serious spondylopathy, spinal tumors and spinal malformation. He has led the development of a series of new techniques in China, such as minimally invasive surgery for cervical and lumbar vertebrae under microscope, surgery for upper cervical vertebral tumors and comprehensive ladder treatment for pains of neck, shoulder, waist and legs; he has presided over multiple provincial scientific research projects, and has been rewarded 7 awards including first, second and third prizes of provincial scientific and technological progress award and medical achievement award. He has published more than 60 articles in core journals as the first author, and coedited 7 monographs including Clinical Anatomy of the Cervical Spine, Operative Surgery of Craniovertebral Junction and Atlas of Clinical Anatomy of Orthopedics.
