Clinical Interests: He has been working at Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital for nearly 28 years since graduation in 1993. During that period, he was mainly engaged in the management of pediatric hematology/oncology disease, and has therefore attained a fair knowledge in this field. He treats diseases include acute leukemia, chronic myelocytic leukemia, Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin disease, neuroblastoma, Will’s tumor , gonadal and extragonadal embryonic tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing’s sarcoma, hepatoblastoma, primitive neuroecterdomal tumor, desmoplastic small round cell tumor, hemaphagocytic syndrome, Langerhan’s histiocytosis, thalassemia, hereditary bleeding disorders, hemolytic anemia, idiopathetic thrombocytopenic purpura and general pediatric diseases. Now we have 37 in-patients beds for these patients and about 150 new cases are admitted each year, with nearly 80% of the patients with acute leukemia. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is treated according to BFM protocols since 2004 and the overall 5-year EFS is nearly 80%. Apart from chemotherapy, he began to perform allogeneic stem cell transplantation since April 2004 .
