Dr. Liang obtained his MD degree in 1988, and PhD Degree in 1998. He was trained and has worked as a radiologist at the Radiology Department of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital since 1988. He has been Chief Radiologist since 2000.

Dr. Liang is highly experienced in radiological diagnosis of cardiac diseases and abdomen diseases. He is also specialized in the clinical application of contrast medium.

His current academic positions include President of Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology, Vice Chairman of Chinese Society of Radiology, Vice President of Chinese Association of Radiologist and Chairman of Guangdong Association of Radiologist.

Research Interests

His current clinical research and teaching mainly focus on abdominal radiology and molecular imaging and imaging data mining. Recently, he has shown special interest in the application of radiomics and deep learning in diagnosis and clinical prediction model construction. Dr. Changhong Liang has published articles and scientific posters in RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) since 1998 within these fields. As the first author, corresponding author or a key author, he has published about 270 papers in Journal of Clinical Oncology, Radiology, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, European Radiology, etc. He is the PI of 9 scientific research grants, including National Key Research and Development Project, NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China), the sub-project of the National Eleventh-Five Year Research Program of China, Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Science and Technology Research Project, etc.

He was respectively awarded with the Second Prize and Third Prize of Guangdong Scientific Technique, the Second Prize of Progress in Scientific Technique of Guangzhou, and the Second Prize of Progress in Medical Technology of Guangdong. As the main inventor, he was granted 18 patents for invention. He is also the chief editor of 8 textbooks and the chief translator of 3 English textbooks.
