Dr. Zhao has been committed to imaging diagnosis for over 30 years, especially specialized in the thoracic diseases. He has done a tremendous job in the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lung cancer, and accumulated profound clinical experience from that. His research on the hemodynamics of lung cancer and its function has been funded by a number of scientific research grants. To date, he has been the PI of or participated in 4 scientific research grants of Guangdong Province or Guangzhou City, and is involved in several international multicenter clinical research.

He has published about 18 papers as the first author or corresponding author, 2 textbooks as the chief editor, 2 textbooks as associate editor, and 3 textbooks as an author. He was awarded with the Second Prize of Progress in Scientific Technique of Guangdong, and of Guangzhou, respectively.
