Dr. Liu is specialized in diagnostic imaging of cardiovascular diseases, including the diagnosis and research on CT and MR imaging of congenital heart disease, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, macro vascular disease, etc.

2018.03.17-2018.04.15 He participated in the Capacity Upgrading Program for Young and Middle-aged Radiologist in 2018 and received 4-week standardized diagnostic thinking training, which was initiated by China International Medical Foundation and Chinese Association of Radiologist and held on in the headquarters of American Institute for Radiologic Pathology.

2016.03.07-2016.03.09 He took part in the executive program in management for Chinese radiology department directors organized by SDA Bocconi School of Management (Bocconi University) and China International Medical Foundation.

2013.02-2014.03 He studied as a visiting scholar in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and researched on cardiovascular MRI under Professor Raymond Kwong who is highly reputed in this field.

Research Interests

To date, there are 5 scientific research grants in which Dr. Liu is the principal investigator, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (2 funds), Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Science and Technology Planning Project of Guangdong, and Science and Technology Planning Project of Guangzhou. And he participated in several national and provincial scientific research projects.

As the first author or corresponding author, he has published over 30 papers at home and abroad, including the celebrated Circulation, European radiology, AJR, etc. The textbooks Dr. Liu published as the main author are CT Diagnosis of Liver Diseases, Multi-slice Spiral CT Diagnosis of Congenital Heart Disease, Multi-slice Spiral CT Angiography, Multi-slice Spiral CT Scanning Protocol, and so forth.

Awards and Honors

As a key participant in the team, he was respectively awarded the Second Prize of Science Technology Improvement Award of Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institutions, the Second Prize of Progress in Scientific Technique of Guangdong and the Second Prize of Progress in Scientific Technique of Guangzhou.
