In addition to conventional cardiac interventional procedures, the Second Section of Cardiology has earned a high reputation for its sophisticated and advanced interventional skills such as reverse treatment for chronic coronary occlusion (CTO) and unconventional ablation for complex arrhythmia. The department is also the first one to carry out combined endocardial-epicardial catheter radiofrequency ablation for ventricular tachycardia with ARVC in China, which significantly improves the success rate of ablation. And even more, the department is applying a new technology of radiofrequency ablation combined with left atrial appendage occlusion for atrial fibrillation, which has greatly reduced the risk of stroke for patients with atrial fibrillation. The section has rich experience in the implantation of various pacemakers, ICD or CRT, with technology that is leading China.

Apart from skilled doctors and nurses, the Second Section of Cardiology is equipped with advanced monitoring and rescue facilities including defibrillator converters, BIAPAP ventilator, Holter monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring systems, and 12-lead synchronization tracing electrocardiograph. With these facilities and experienced staff, the department has built up an integral platform for diagnosis and treatment for patients with different kinds of heart diseases.

Medical staff in the department constantly update and improve their professional knowledge and clinical skills through lessons held by the hospital or department as well as self-learning, and provide patients with professional and comprehensive medical care.
